Northwood University Students, Faculty, and Staff to Embark on Day of Volunteerism Across the Great Lakes Bay Region
By Chloe Burwell
Northwood University students, faculty and staff step away from classrooms and offices on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, to ‘Go Make A Difference’ GO MAD across the Great Lakes Bay Region as part of the annual Go MAD Day. Hundreds of volunteers will participate in dozens of projects at locations in Midland, Coleman, Shepherd, Sanford, and Hersey, Michigan.
Go MAD Day is a proud Northwood tradition inspired by the late Football Coach Pat Riepma, whose Go MAD mantra urged others to “Go make a difference” in the lives of others.
During this year’s Go MAD Day, Northwood University partnered with Kids Coalition Against Hunger to pack 10,000 meals for families in need. The meal-packing event brought together students, staff, and faculty as part of a full day of service throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. KCAH has been a partner in the project since 2019.
